Read, Meighan

Meighan Read is the Manager, Fleet Electrification at Duke Energy based in Charlotte, North Carolina. She leads the group responsible for developing and executing the strategy to transition Duke Energy’s internal fleet of over 15,000 vehicles and pieces of equipment to electric and alternative fuels. Prior to her current role, Meighan worked in the Duke Energy fleet department as an engineer and later as the leader of the team responsible for the acquisition, specification, financing, and disposal of the Duke Energy fleet. She holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Motorsports and a MS in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
