
Sandsted, Paul
Paul Sandsted has served as TTP’s (formerly NGVAmerica) Director of Technology and Sustainability since 2019. Prior to his latest appointment with TTP, Paul served as an Application Engineer with Cummins engine company for nearly fourteen years, providing technical support to OEM customers across a variety of powertrains in generator-drive, automotive, industrial, and military applications. He is a 2002 graduate of Clemson University where he majored in computer engineering and minored in mathematical sciences. Paul has significant experience in the on-road heavy-duty engine market and has worked with a variety of OEM customers and alternative fuels to develop powertrain systems that work for specific applications in challenging environments. He has served as facilitator for countless customers beginning with the design process through build to delivery and real world on-road use, troubleshooting hurdles and finding sustainable solutions along the way. Paul’s responsibilities with TTP include leading programs related to industry sustainability, safety and best practices, technology development, research priorities, and codes and standards for alternative fuel vehicles and refueling infrastructure. This includes broad collaboration with TTP members, academia, governments, standards and research organizations, first responders, and other key stakeholders to foster cooperative approaches to complex industry issues.
